Angel Agbontaen is a journalist, stylist and visual curator with a vision to amplify underrepresented voices in art and fashion. She has published work in The Review of Journalism, FORM, CanCulture and more, and is the founder and editor-in-chief of Whack Magazine.
Angel completed her Bachelor of Journalism with a minor in Fashion Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson). Her work is inspired by Nigerian stories, art and fashion, as well as styles emerging from the wider Black diaspora.
Through her journalism, editorial and styling practice, she aims to bring these influences to the forefront of fashion conversations. When she's not writing or playing with clothes, Angel is dreaming big with a pack of Kinder Buenos by her side. ๐ซ
